Carl Eisenlord Obituary

Carl J. Eisenlord Battle Creek Carl J. Eisenlord, 84, of Battle Creek, died Friday, October 10, 2008 at Eaton County Medical Care Facility. He was born July 4, 1924 in Burlington to Rosco and Margaret (Whitmore) Eisenlord. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was employed as a welder with the Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1986. Carl was an ardent fan of classic Westerns on television. Carl married Mary E. Pease on July 4, 1987. Surviving are stepson, Albert (Karen) Franks of Bellevue; stepdaughter, Mary Jane (Ernest) Ruthruff of Battle Creek; brother, James (Adella) Eisenlord of Battle Creek; and a niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Claude Eisenlord. Family will be present from 5:00 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Shaw Funeral Home. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2008 at the funeral home with the Rev. Gordon Pippin, Pastor Central Christian Church officiating. Interment, Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Calhoun County Meals on Wheels or the American Cancer Society. The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home. www.shawfuneralhome.com
