Carol Collins Obituary

Carol J. Collins Battle Creek Carol J. (Howard) Collins, 65, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away at home Wednesday, October 8, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 25, 1943 in Rensselaer, Indiana to Edgar and Nancy "Jane" Howard (Kilgore). She married Charles F. Collins on January 10, 1973 who preceded her in death on February 04, 1993. Carol retired from the Battle Creek Housing Commission in 2001 after 26 years of service. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and collecting clocks and dolls. Carol is survived by son, Joseph Seiler III (Gayle) of Dowling, MI; daughter, Cindy J. Burgett of Ecorse, MI; sisters, Ethel L. Kedo of Marshall, Lillie M. Sheldon of Albion, Helen F. Sheldon of Marshall and Irene Russell of Marshall; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Elmer W. Dillon, Charles Dillon, Carl E. Dillon, Bobby J. Howard and Billy D. Howard. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, October 17 at 2:30 p.m. at the Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI.

My Aunt Carol was the most loving and kind person you could ever meet. She was always full of smiles and laughter. She will be missed dearly.
