Marjorie Benward Obituary

Marjorie F. Benward Lansing Marjorie F. Benward, age 93, of Lansing, formerly of Albion, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2008 at her residence. She was born August 14, 1915 in the same house that her father was born in to Emil and Pearl (Bair) Holtz in Albion, Michigan. She was married to Allan Ketchum and William F. Benward who both preceded her in death. She was a 1933 Graduate of Washington Gardner High School in Albion, She was a Homemaker, and she also worked as a Bell Telephone Operator in Albion. She was a member of the First Baptist Church- Albion. She is survived by: Daughter, Rebecca (David) Poe of Lansing; Son, Larry "Buck" Ketchum of Albion; 3 Grandchildren, Mark (Becky) Ketchum, Kimberly (Troy) Cole, and Julia (David) Jones; 4 Great-grandchildren, Alex and Derek Ketchum, and Brandon and Alyssa Cole Besides both of her husbands, she was preceded in death by a Brother and a Sister. According to her wishes their will be no visitation and a Graveside Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery- Albion with Rev. Thomas Hollowood officiating. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Albion or Heartland Hospice.
