Cecelia Britvec Obituary

Cecelia Ann Britvec Sheffield Lake, OH Cecelia Ann Britvec, 79, of Sheffield Lake, Ohio died Sunday, October 5, 2008 at the home of her sister, Eleanora Jackson, following a long illness. Cecelia was born November 20, 1928 in Battle Creek, Michigan and moved to Ohio after retiring from the United Food and Commercial Worker's International Union Industry. Cecelia was employed by Cunninghams Drugstore, Dot Drugs and the International Elks Lodge 131 here in Battle Creek. Survivors include sisters, Eleanora Jackson of Sheffield Lake, Ohio, Rosella M. McCreary of Battle Creek, Michigan, Elizabeth Velo of East Leroy, Michigan; brothers, Peter A. Britvec of Lorain, Ohio, Joseph Britvec of Battle Creek, Michigan and Jacob Britvec of Cincinnati, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Cecelia was preceded to death by her parents, Thomas and Barbara (nee: Horvath) Britvec; sisters, Barbara Arbic, Anna Hosh and Francis Shick; and brother, Richard Britvec. Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 17th at noon at Battle Creek Memorial Park Cemetery, 2435 West Territorial Road, Battle Creek, Michigan. Memorial contributions are requested to be made to New Life Hospice, 5255 North Abbe Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035-1450.
