Charles Stanton Obituary

Charles E. "Chuck" Stanton Battle Creek Charles E. "Chuck" Stanton, 40, of Battle Creek, died Thursday, October 16, 2008 at home. He is now in his loving savior's and mother's arms. He was born July 2, 1968 to Milo E. and Mary L. (Batterson) Stanton. He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1986 and was employed at II Stanley in Battle Creek. Chuck enjoyed motorcycling, drawing, cooking, loved animals and was very caring and compassionate person. Chuck took in every stray whether it was a person or animal. He was his mom's gentle giant. He married Tracy Vaughn on September 9, 1995, she survives. Also surviving are sons, Bryan Vaughn, Brandon Vaughn and Christian Fletcher of Battle Creek; sisters, Lene St. John of California, Angel (Chris) Fritz and Marjorie (Ty) Thompson of Battle Creek; brother, William (Lori) Stanton of White Cloud; father, Milo Stanton of Battle Creek; and several aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary L. Stanton on March 4, 2008. Visitation will take place at Shaw Funeral Home Monday, October 20th from 5-7 p.m. Funeral, 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 21st at the funeral home, Pastor Robert Zuhl officiating. Interment, Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may go to the American Diabetes Association. The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home. www.shawfuneralhome.com
