Claianne Shelton Foley, AL Claianne Shelton, age 79, of Foley, AL, died Monday, October 20, 2008. She was born in Birmingham, AL on September 20, 1929. She retired from a career in federal government from the DLSC in Battle Creek. Claianne was a member of the American Business Women's Association, Chamber of Commerce, Eastern Star, and St. Margrets of Scotland Catholic Church. Survivors include daughter, Michelle (Shelton) Reeves of Walker, LA; son, Robert Leonard Shelton, Sr. of Gulf Shores, AL; daughter, Sonya Ann Johnston of Foley, AL; son, Wilson Roy Johnston, Sr. of Baton Rouge, LA; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Spence Shelton, Jr. Services will be held at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley, AL at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2008, with visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Fr. Paul Zoghby will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley, AL.
