Sharan Carmany Obituary

Sharan Ann Carmany Battle Creek Sharan Ann Carmany, age 58, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Borgess Medical Center. She was born on July 21, 1950, in Mansfield, OH, the daughter of Raymond R. and Virginia I. (Engholm) Cooper. Sharan had previously lived in California and Kentucky. She came to Battle Creek in 1987 and had been a homemaker most of her life. She married Mr. William Steven Carmany on May 8, 1984. He survives her. Sharan loved laughing and having fun with her family. Her varied interests included cross-stitch, classical music, quilting, genealogy, rubber stamping, painting and reading. Sharon was an animal lover and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Surviving in addition to her husband is her daughter Sarah Heather Carmany of Kalamazoo and Raymond Earl Carmany of Battle Creek. She also leaves her brother Randy R. (Naomi) Cooper of Paducah, KY. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Royal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1312 Capital Ave. SW, Battle Creek. Interment will be at Hickory Corners Cemetery.
