I was so sorry to learn of Mrs Jones death. Unfortunately, we did not find out until the day after the funeral. She was always a special lady in our lives, especially when we were growing up, as we were next door neighbors and good friends. I remember her gardens and was always amazed at how she kept them even into her later years, and after her illness began. As kids we remember the great dill pickles. We would often go there (next door) to get some because she made the best. I know that for her, family always came first. She was a kind generous, gracious lady who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

My brother, Jewel's neighbor Gary Geeting, thought the world of her and delighted me over the years with many stories of her dedication to her yard and garden, her zest for life and the wonder of her baked goods (she was insistant that he take them when he did anything for her). When anyone came to my b rother's to check on the house when they were on vacation she was a sentinel on the watch for her neigbors until she saw it was okay. She truly became an icon of sorts, in our family, of how to age gracefully and with dignity. I'm so sorry for your loss but thankful she has had a wonderful and devoted family by her side.
