James Griffin Obituary

James M. Griffin Fort Myers, FL James M. Griffin, 79, of Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on February 19, 2009. Jim was a member of the Michigan Air National Guard and served in the Korean War. He was an Industrial Engineer for Post Division-Kraft Foods in Battle Creek and retired in 1987 with over 30 years of service. He moved to Fort Myers in 1996. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Connie Griffin; two daughters, Janet (Robert) Koehler and Cathy (Bob) Monroe; two grandsons, Adam Monroe and Clay (Beth) Koehler; and two granddaughters, Haley (Alan) Dawe and Madison Koehler. A memorial service will be held in Fort Myers and one will be held in Battle Creek at a later date. Donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or the St. Columbkille Building Fund, 12171 Iona Road, Fort Myers, FL 33908.

SO SORRY TO READ OF JIM'S DEATH. IT TOOK US BY SURPRISE. WE HAD A LONG AND FRIENDLY RELATIONSHIP DDURING OUR AIR GUARD DAYS AND LONG AFTER. WE'LL MISS HIS FRIENDSHIP AND GOOD SENSE OF HUMOR.
