Arthur Boyer Obituary

Arthur "Lloyd" Boyer Sherwood Arthur "Lloyd" Boyer, 78, of Sherwood, MI, died peacefully in his sleep at the home he built for his wife and himself. He was a loving husband and devoted father. He was born June 6, 1930 the son of Gaylord and Tressa Boyer in Coldwater. He is survived by spouse Selina "Jane" Boyer married December 2, 1949 in East Leroy, MI (59 years). Lloyd retired from Michigan Carton Co. in 1986 after 40 years of service. A Golden Eagle Member Lodge 299 in Battle Creek, Moose 676 in Marshall, Dad's Post Life Member of the VFW 5319 in Athens. He enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, golfing, trout fishing and camping with his family. He also enjoyed watching his son play football and dancing with his daughter. Also surviving are daughter Linda Boyer Taylor of Hudsonville, MI; a son, Michael Lewis and a daughter-in-law, Lorie Boyer of Battle Creek; a sister, Georgia Boyer Stockwell of Battle Creek; a brother, Russell Boyer of Arizona; 3 nieces and 3 nephews; a granddaughter, Tracie L. Taylor of Jenison, MI; a grandson, Christopher M. Boyer of Battle Creek; a great-grandson, Christian Taylor of Jenison, MI; and 2 stepgranddaughters, Heather and Nicole. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Lewis and Bernard Boyer, and a sister, Lois Hayes. Per Lloyd and Jane's request there will be no viewing or a funeral. My sympathy to Jane, Mike and Linda. We had lots of fun at Mill Lake years ago, fishing, swimming, water fights and water skiing.
