Shirley Dukeman Obituary

Shirley M. Dukeman Battle Creek Shirley M. Dukeman, 79, of Battle Creek died February 26, 2009 at Heartland Health Care. She was born August 13, 1929 to Harold and Erma (Bunker) Wallace in Jackson, Michigan Shirley spent her working days working at the Harper Creek School System and Transamerica. But most of all, she was a devoted wife and mother, caring for her family. Shirley is survived by a son, Michael Dukeman; a daughter, Sandy (Rolland) Blowers; five grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, NanLee, Matt, and Norman; two sisters, Kay Harris and Janet Burke; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darold; her parents; and a sister, Betty Wallett. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where a visitation will be held one hour prior. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Erin Is Hope Foundation, Inc. www.farleyestesdowdle.com.

passed on. I knew her from her previous roommate Mrs. Hall, Mrs. Hall was a good friend of our family.
