Pearl Westrick Obituary

Pearl Jean Westrick Battle Creek Pearl Jean Westrick, 86 of Battle Creek died Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Minges Manor AFC. She was born October 24, 1922 in Hastings, Michigan the daughter of Robert G. and Ethel Mae (Smith) Leslie. Pearl has been a resident of Battle Creek since 1938, was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling. On July 24, 1948 she was married to Laverne A. Westrick who preceded her in death on February 9, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter: Mary Elizabeth Brownell in 2006; one brother, Elvin Harold and one sister, Patti Lou. Surviving are two grandchildren: Amber and Tanner Brownell; brother: Don Leslie of Fulton; sister: Evelyn Brown of Battle Creek; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Father Charles H. Fischer officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.

This is Janice Evelyn (Wood) Czajkowski's daughter, Mary Beth Stearns. Janice was the daughter of Eva May Leslie and Ralph Wood. My daughter, Shaun Leslie (keeping the family name as her middle name) and I send our deepest sympathies to you. Janice (Mom) passed away last year on April 13th, at age 87.
