Yual Glen Vaden

Yual Glen Vaden Battle Creek Yual Glen Vaden, age 70, passed away Friday, April 17, 2009 at his home. He was born December 24, 1938 in Putnam County, Tennessee the son of Dewey Washington and Hattie Marie (Pierce) Vaden. He married Mary L. (Pifer) Vaden of Battle Creek, MI on November 24, 1989 in Battle Creek, MI. Glen retired from Cole Brothers Gravel as a heavy equipment mechanic. He liked to go fishing, hunting and camping. Glen liked to feed the wild birds, squirrels and wild animals. He loved to show off his old cars and he was a member of the Drifter's Car Club. He loved his nieces and nephews. Glen is survived by his wife, Mary L. Vaden; sisters and brothers, Ann Allen, Betty Rial, Jewel Edger, all of Battle Creek, Barbara Burk of Sturgis, Terry Vaden, Carl Vaden both of Battle Creek; stepchildren, Allen Pifer, Colleen (Billy) Shroll, Suzzette Henderson, Clayton Henderson, Mark Henderson, Lora and Mike; stepgrandchildren, Rachgel, Sierra, Brandon, Amber, Shannon, Sandy, Timmy, John, Marty, Savanna, Tina, Allen Jr., Kathy, Kaycie, Kaylee, Jon, Danniel and Michael; and 14 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Reba Vaden; and brothers, Deloy and Dewey Richard Vaden. Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service with Pastor Glenn R. Huisinga officiating. Burial will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial tributes may be made to Lifespan-Good Samaritan Hospice Care.
