Thelma Palmatier Obituary

Thelma A. Palmatier Battle Creek Mrs. Thelma A. (Wine) Palmatier, 91, of Battle Creek, MI, died Monday, June 08, 2009 at Heartland Health Center in Battle Creek, MI. She was born February 10, 1918 in South Whitney, IN the daughter of Andrew Jackson Wine and Anna Belle (Cox) Geest. She was a dental assistant for over 30 years with Dr. E.J. Blackmore, Dr. Jerry Borsum, and Dr. Prokes all in the Battle Creek Area. Thelma is survived by daughters: Jacqueline A. (Maurice) Dostie and Joan K. Kellay both of Battle Creek, MI; Grandchildren: Steven Kellay, Cynthia (Rod) Krontz and Sherri (Tom) Anderson and great-grandchildren: Jennifer (Mike) Mann, D.J. Trine, Amanda Krontz, Zack Trine, Brandon Krontz, Kyle Anderson and Sean Anderson. She was preceded in death by her Parents; her husband of 60 years: Earl Richard Palmatier (1997); son: Richard Palmatier (1942); Sisters: Elizabeth Brockelbank and Evangeline Goss; Brothers: Marion Wine and Harold Wine. Thelma was a member of the North Avenue Church of God, volunteer at Battle Creek Health System where she helped in the gift shop and a member of the American Dental Assistant's Assoc. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, playing cards (UNO), baking cookies, walking, and fishing. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service on Thursday, June 11, 2009, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 12, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the North Avenue Church of God with Pastor James L. & Susan M. Sparks and Pastor James D. Sirks of North Avenue Church of God officiating. Burial will be at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Emmett Township, MI. Memorial tributes may be made to North Avenue Church of God Building Fund. Arrangements by the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, a member by invitation Selected Independent Funeral Homes.
