Eleanor Linnan Obituary

Eleanor (Ele) Henry Linnan Eleanor (Ele) Henry Linnan passed away at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Reside Indiana. She was a resident of Battle Creek for over 30 years. In the late 1970's she lived in Bavaria, and she especially enjoyed her extensive travels in Europe. She was a graduate of KCC, Hood College (cum laude) in Frederick, Maryland, and earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, where she was a member of Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She was an original member of the Families First Program, a new program created by Starr Commonwealth, which worked intensively with troubled families. She enjoyed gardening, travel, theater, and reading. There were always "pets" in her family, and she passed her love of animals to all of her children. She is survived by her husband, John C. Linnan of Battle Creek, son Jeffrey B. Linnan (wife Kristine) of Indianapolis, IN, daughters Ann E. Boos of Kalamazoo, Mi and Peggy E. Linnan of Anchorage, Alaska; Groban, Lionheart and Princess. Her grandchildren Gianna Tumblin, Marisa Linnan, Eric Paulson, Jeffrey Paulson, Joseph Teske and Nora Teske, and great- grandsons Baylor and Hunter Paulson. A celebration of life was enjoyed by a number of friends and relatives prior to her passing. Services will be at North Avenue Church of God on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial tributes may be made to Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or Lifespan-Good Samaritan Hospice Care. Her family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Philip Ptacin and Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Home Care and Residence for their care and compassion. Arrangements by the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, a member by invitation Selected Independent Funeral Homes. (269)965-5145 www.bachmanhebble.com
