I have many a fond memory of "Aunt" Elizabeth and "Uncle" Guido, who were dear friends of my grandpa and grandma, Carl and Edna Miller. Riding my bike to their house to hangout with them, feed the swans, play with the dogs and walk the orchard. And many a Christmas when we were all together. I always admired Aunt Elizabeth's wisdom and elegance. I think of her often.

Elizabeth was one of my most dedicated supporters when I was conductor of the Battle Creek Symphony [1968-1989]. Her enthusiasm for my ideas and concerts will always have a cherished place in my memory.
