Delores Schoenrock Obituary

Delores "Dee" M. (Diedrich) Schoenrock Marshall Delores "Dee" M. (Diedrich) Schoenrock, age 78, died Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at her home in the loving care of her family. Mrs. Schoenrock was born on May 11, 1931 in Detroit to Reinhold and Marie M. (Peters) Diedrich. She was raised in the Detroit area and was a graduate of Pershing High School. On June 5, 1954, she married Richard R. "Rocky" Schoenrock in Detroit. The couple moved to St. Clair Shores and then to Marshall in 1969. While living in the Detroit area she had been employed at Detroit Edison and by Chrysler. After settling in Marshall, Dee worked for the Marshall Public Schools. She had worked in the Lunchroom at the Hughes Elementary School for over 20 years. She is survived by her sons, Richard (Renee) Schoenrock of Grand Rapids and Robert R. Schoenrock of Marshall; grandchildren, Richard Schoenrock, Ryan Schoenrock, Hunter Schoenrock, Paige (Mark) Ducheney and Taylor Gilmore; a sister, Shirley Sherrill of Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a twin sister, Joan M aki. The family will receive friends on Monday at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are to the Allegiance Hospice of Jackson.
