My name is Vickie. Glady Martin was Virginia's sister. Gladys is my grandmother. I have to say Mema Glady loved her sister very much. She is now in a nursing home and is unable to get in touch with anyone, So I wanted to write a note and say how sorry we are about your loss. If you would like you can contact me at 1 434 989-3663 and leave a message.

I've known Grandma Decker my entire adult life. Her wit, wisdom, and kindness will never be forgotten. I have many fond memories of sitting around with her with a cold beverage or a cup of coffee and discussing what was going on in the world or how her family was doing. We even used to talk about what was going at The Ritzee as we both had been employed there. I have a hole in my heart but there is an angel in heaven.

To the Dowd/Decker Family
We are thinking of you and sorry to hear of Virginia's passing. I have some very fond memories of her, as does Delaney. Thanks to Virginia I make the best potato salad ever! I loved when Tracy and I lived together and she would come home from a visit to Battle Creek. Virginia would send some really good food and treats-the perks of being a roommate. I always enjoyed the talks Virginia and I had over the years. Marie, do you remember the time Virginia fell in the garden at your house and had to have stitches? When you came home from taking her to the hospital, the first thing she wanted was a beer. What a day that was. She was a remarkable woman and will be greatly missed.

Marie and family,

We know of the great loss of your mother. We had many a fine time visiting with Virginia at our Mom's house. We remember many Friday night dinners out with Lester, Jo, Karen, me, Jo and Ginnie. We will always cherish the knowledge that Jo and Virgina were such great friends.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of grief.

I was one of Virgina Deckers Care Givers and I loved to take care of her. She loved for me to cook her breakfast and make her coffee and as I would sit down and feed her the breakfast she would want me to read her the Obituarys from the mornings newspaper. She loved to look at the Meijer and FamilyFair Ads. I loved her as if she was my Grandma and if I knew her my whole life. I was looking forward to taking care of her when my days came hoping that it would never end. I love You Grandma and You Will Be Missed..

I Enjoyed Taking Care Of Virgina. She was a wounderful person. She loved to tell me stories of how she grew up and she loved for me to cook her breakfast. I could not take care of anyone nicer. I will miss her and I hope that all the family is taking it well. She will be missed.
