Jack Nichols Obituary

Jack E. Nichols Battle Creek Jack E. Nichols, 77, of Battle Creek, died October 7, 2009 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall. He was born April 26, 1932, the son of Harold Z. and Valeria M. (McNees) Nichols in Battle Creek. Jack worked as a millwright at Post Cereals for 25 years, retiring in 1990. Jack and his wife, Patricia (Halder) Nichols celebrated their 58th anniversary on October 7, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Battle Creek; sons, Craig (Linda Lou) Nichols of Pensacola, Florida, Kirk (Cherrie) Nichols of Battle Creek; daughter, Jacqueline (Paul) Fronsman of Battle Creek; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold Nichols and Valeria M. (McNees) Nichols Patterson and brother, Harold J. Nichols. Jack was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed carpentry, mechanics and coaching sports. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Shaw Funeral Home. Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 12, 2009 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Gary Siefert officiating. Interment, Floral Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may go to St. Paul Lutheran Church. The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home. www.shawfuneralhome.com
