Jack Paulson

Jack Paulson Battle Creek Frederick J. "Jack" Paulson, age 85, died Monday, December 7, 2009, at Borgess Medical Center. Jack was born on June 22, 1924, in Battle Creek, the son of Frederick and Winifred (Sadd) Paulson. He had been a lifelong resident of the area and attended Battle Creek Public Schools. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during WWII. On September 1, 1951, he was united in marriage to the former Wilma M. Keesler who survives. Jack owned and operated Paulson's Auto Electric Service and Paulson Motor Home Sales from 1948 until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the Gull Lake United Methodist Church, the Family Motor Coach Association, American Legion Post 54 and the VFW. Surviving are children, Donald (Sue) Paulson of Hickory Corners, David (Sara) Paulson of Battle Creek and Linda (Gary) Gregory of Battle Creek; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, James (Dorothy) Paulson of Lansing, Marjorie (Sam) Gibson of Battle Creek, Arthur (Shirley) Paulson of Battle Creek, Mary (Dale) Wagner of Battle Creek, Madeline (Bernard) Miller of Green valley, AZ, and Robert (Kathy) Paulson of Battle Creek. He was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Paulson in 2009, and a sister, Pauline Scullion in 1989. In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 14, 2009, at Fort Custer National Cemetery. A memorial service at Gull Lake United Methodist Church will be held at 11:00 a.m. following the graveside service with Pastor David Nellist officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Gull Lake United Methodist Church or The Salvation Army.
