Marjorie Steve Obituary

Marjorie B. Steve Augusta Marjorie B. Steve, 84, died December 10, 2009. Marjorie was born October 7, 1925 to Millard and Pauline Pierce in Battle Creek. Marjorie married the love of her life, John, on February 12, 1942. They were happily married until his time of passing in 1996. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always had their pictures with her and would show them off every chance she had. When her three children were old enough, Marge entered into the restaurant industry. She excelled with her good, home style cooking that was a pleasure to her family and her restaurant customers. She loved to crochet, play bingo, garden, and go to casinos. She enjoyed bird watching, and spending time at her cabin near Baldwin. Marjorie is survived be her two sons, James "Jim" and John Steve; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three sisters, and two brothers. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, daughter Suzanne Borgman, grandson Kirk Steve, granddaughter Kelly Johnson, two sisters, Betty and Fay; and one brother, Bud. Funeral services to celebrate Marjorie's life will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 14, 2009 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Augusta Chapel. Interment will follow at Day Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Personal messages for the family may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
