Dear Popovich family -

Seventy-three years ago I met your father and our friendship began. Your father was a great person and loved his family deeply. Shirley and I have many fond memories of the times we spent with your father and mother and watching each of you kids grow up. I will miss my friend and our monthly telephone chats. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
