I want to express my sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the wonderful Hart Leavitt at the sad news of his passing. I first came to know him at a 'jazz jam session' at the Rolling Green in Andover. He was a beautiful musican and a warm and insightful person whom I feel honored to consider as a friend. I will always remember playing Duke Ellington tunes with him in the basement of Graves Hall at Phillips Academy. It was the last time I saw him. He was still so passionate about music! I think of him with admiration and affection.
