My family and I were deeply saddened to hear of Peter's death. Sonia and Peter were very very good friends of my parents Thelma and Derry Dawson, and many happy times and memories have flooded my mind in the past day. We had lovely parties at the beachfront cottage in the early 70s and lifetime friends through generattions blossomed. BJ - Jennifer and I reconnected in Ottawa and share friendships to this day. I remember Peter visiting our rustic country cottage one summer and being the most dapper man on the beach - and certainly the best dressed! Sonia was a very special friend of and to our mother, and they would talk for hours about politics, and ofcourse their love lives...which I think we always pretty interesting! The last time I saw Peter was at Sonia's service, and he was sad, but realized how lucky a man he had been to have been loved so richly, profoundly, and passionately by Sonia. He wrote a lovely letter to me after the service, thanking me for attending...and I am so sorry that life go in the way of a visit prior to his passing. My most sincere sympathies at this time...a light has gone out in our lives...but as I look into the skies (where I find all the souls I loved) I know that Peter and Sonia are doing a wonderful slow tango...
