Sigrun Miller Obituary

SIGRUN H. MILLER, passed away New Year's Day, 2009, in San Diego, CA. She was 94. Born in Manitoba in 1914 into the Icelandic family of Thorsteiinn and Ingibjorg with 11 siblings, she moved to Cleveland before the War to study nursing. She and her late husband, Arthur G. Miller, were wed in 1944, and raised three children, Bob, Karilyn and Artie, in Maple Hts. She worked as a compassionate RN at Marymount Hospital for many years and moved to San Diego in 1985, after her husband's death. She was active in senior clubs, was proud of her Icelandic heritage, and was a deeply spiritual Christian. She is survived by two sons, three grandchildren: Bobbie, Lily and Matteo and four great grandchildren: Jeannette, Jennifer, Cora and Allan. Her ashes will be interred this summer by her husband and daughter in Brooklyn Hts. Cemetery. The influence of her lifetime of selfless giving and loving concern for all her family and friends will live on forever. Contact: [email protected].
