Peter Borzilleri Obituary
A veteran of World War II, Peter was a combat engineer in the 4th Infantry and landed on Omaha Beach on D-Day plus two. He was a graduate of Holy Cross College in Worcester, Mass. He spent many years in the automobile sales industry and was co-owner of two car dealerships before retiring to Cape Cod and subsequently to Venice.
Peter is survived by four daughters and four sons, and their spouses, Mary and Michael O'Keefe of Brighton, Mass., Nina and Richard Reidy of Amesbury, Mass., Peter and Jean Borzilleri of Allendale, N.J., Loretta and Roger Hamilton of Millersville, Md., John and Sarah Borzilleri of Cutchogue, N.Y., Robert and Gina Borzilleri of Forest Hill, Md., Lorraine and James Valenti of Garden City, N.Y., and Andrew and Tara Borzilleri of Garden City, N.Y. His 24 grandchildren range in age from one to 23 years. He is also survived by a sister, Nina Woessner; four brothers, James, John, Paul, and Richard; and three sisters-in-law.
There will be visitation at the Nickerson Funeral Home in Chatham on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Chatham on Friday, Aug. 22, at 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Peoples Cemetery in Chatham alongside his beloved wife, Caroline (Bithy), who passed away five years ago.
