George Medeiros Obituary
He was the husband of Suzanne (Guerin) Medeiros for 29 years.
George's passion was golf. He was a member of Dennis Pines and Dennis Highlands golf courses. He won the 1999 Cape Cod Senior Amateur Championship at Hyannisport Golf Club. He anxiously anticipated the annual Seagulls Tournament and qualified for the championship flight many times. He served with distinction as a member of the executive committee of the MGA as well as rules official for the USGA and MGA golf tournaments. George will be greatly missed.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Keith and Jeffrey Medeiros of Connecticut; a brother, Jack Medeiros of Lincoln, R.I.; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours and services will be held at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 792 Route 134, South Dennis, on Thursday, August 21. Calling hours will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service beginning at 11.
Memorial donations may be made to the Brain Tumor Center, 55 Fruit St., Yawkey 9E, Boston, MA 02114. Many thanks to the dedicated staff at Mass. General for giving George an additional 14 years.

I am deeply saddened to hear of George's passing. I enjoyed sharing the time he offered to help volunteer at MGA Events. He was always smiling, and willing to help out in any way he could, even if he could only be available for a 1/2 day due to his treatments. He was truly a great, great guy, and a great addition to the MGA Executive Committee. I will miss him very much. I feel privileged to have known him. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hit 'em straight in heaven George.

i am saddened by George's passing. he was a fine golfer but more importantly a friend. the last time i saw George was at the State Amateur. eventhough i was not playing well, he gave me many words of encouragement. that's what i will always remember.

I am greatly saddened to hear of George's passing. His close friends and the entire golf community will miss his courage, humor and tremendous golf game. He was a fighter to the end I am sure. My deepest condolences and I will always think of him when I tee it up at the Seagulls.
