Richard Ainsworth Obituary

MASHPEE — Richard Alan Ainsworth, 55, passed away peacefully on Sept. 25, 2008, after a long illness. His wife, Lily, was by his side.

Rick was raised in Connecticut. He attended the University of New Hampshire and received his B.S. degree from the University of Bridgeport.

He married Lillian Muttick, and they formed a construction company in Vermont, Pyramid Builders, which specialized in post and beam construction. They moved to Cape Cod in 1996. He worked at New Seabury. He joined Hinckley's and worked there for 11 years as a contractor's consultant and an expert in engineered lumber. Rick was an avid reader and a Bruins fan. He loved fishing with his brother, Dave.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Jason and Brian; a daughter, Emily; his parents, Richard and Jo Anne Ainsworth; a brother, David; a sister, Susan Wakeman; a niece, Rachel; and a nephew, Matthew.

The funeral service will be private.

Rick, I considered you a customer as well as a friend. Many a story we shared on our way back and forth to jobsites of similar experiences. You were very talented in your craft and wil be missed. It is your copy of "The Pizza Tapes" that will always be played with fond memories. Fare thee well Rick.

Dear Rick's family and friends, I had the pleasure of working with Rick at Hinckley's! He was awesome at his job and very helpful, friendly and a gentleman to all of us! My heart goes out to you all now during this time! His spirit will live on in all of you! Love and condolences to all!
