EAST BRIDGEWATER — Phyllis S. (DeForest) Bonney, of East Bridgewater, formerly of Hyannis, died on Oct. 6, 2008, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was 90.

Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Gladys (Lambert). She lived in Hyannis for more than 50 years before moving to East Bridgewater.

Phyllis was a professional singer, singing with many bands in the Boston area. She enjoyed cooking and singing.

She was the mother of Debbie Taylor of East Bridgewater and the late Pamela Nesbit; grandmother of Michael and Marc Taylor, Daniel Nesbit and Nicholas Bonney. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the Prophett-Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home (formerly Wales-Prophett), 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater, on Friday, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Ghost Church, Whitman, at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Debbie,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. Having lost my mother a few years ago I understand what you are going through. We all missed you at the reunion in Aug. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers and have my deepest sympathies.
