Anne M. Butler

POCASSET — Anne M. (McNamara) Butler, 83, of Pocasset and Arlington, died at the Bourne Manor Nursing Home in Bourne on Oct. 8, 2008.

Born in Hudson, N.Y., she was a graduate of Somerville Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1948, and was a retired RN from Symmes Hospital in Arlington.

She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Butler; loving mother of Attorney Richard D. Butler and his wife, Susan, of Arlington, John M. Butler and his wife, Donna, of Stoneham, Catherine M. Keris and her husband, Dennis, of Westford, David J. Butler and his wife, Diane of Billerica, Timothy P. Butler and his wife, Janice, of Woburn and Arlington, and Paul B. Butler and his wife, Annette, of Wakefield. She was the devoted grandmother of Audra Shea, Amanda Stellhorn and her husband, Robert, D.J. Butler and his fiancée, Allison Joy, Kimberly Butler, Jillian Butler, Ryan Butler, Cori Butler, and Staci Butler. She was the great-grandmother of Steven Shea and Brayden Butler; sister of Marcella Tenerowicz of Hudson, N.Y., and the late John T. and David J. McNamara; and sister-in-law of Mary Butler, Nancee McNamara, and Janet McNamara. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut Street, Arlington, on Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 4 to 8 p.m. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Oct. 15, in St. Agnes' Church, Arlington, at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with burial in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington.
