Alice Pinel Obituary
Alice was born in Boston on April 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Edward and Grace (Cain) Junkins, and was raised and educated in Quincy, where she lived for most of her life. She moved to Mayflower Place in West Yarmouth eight years ago.
She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Pinel Jr. Alice is survived by her loving daughter, Carol G. Beckloff and husband Peter of Hyannis; and beloved grandson, Adam P. Beckloff and wife Terry of Centerville.
She was a secretary with State Street Bank & Trust Co. for more than 30 years and was secretary to the president of State Street upon her retirement. She was a member for more than 76 years and deacon emeritus of the Wollaston Congregational Church, where she served for many years as the church secretary and founded the Women's Evening Guild. She had on occasion attended the Federated Church of Hyannis with her daughter.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St., Hyannis, MA 02601. Committal services will be private.
Memorial donations in Alice's name may be made to the MSPCA Centerville Shelter, 1577 Falmouth Road, Centerville, MA 02632; or Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
