Doris Scudder Obituary
She was the wife of the late Herbert F. Scudder.
Born on Wednesday, April 18, 1934, in East Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Doris (Benson) Pratt.
Doris lived in West Bridgewater for the past 49 years and was a 1952 graduate of East Bridgewater High School, where she was in the marching band and played sports. She worked at Central Elementary School in East Bridgewater for many years and helped her late husband at Scudder Brother Fuel Company Inc.
She enjoyed flower gardening, spending time at her summer home in Cotuit, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a son, Glenn F. Scudder and his wife Cynthia of East Bridgewater; a daughter, Brenda R. Tekin of Bridgewater; seven grandchildren, Alex Scudder, Caity Scudder, Jenny Scudder, Matthew Scudder, Diana Tekin, Daniel Tekin and Suzy Tekin; a brother, Dan Pratt of East Bridgewater; two sisters, Marjorie Thompson and her husband Donald of Easton, and Diane Lombardi and her husband Frank of Ossipee, N.H.; a dear cousin and friend, Cally Savery of East Bridgewater; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 10 a.m., in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
