EAST TEMPLETON — Pearl M. (Fuller) Johnson, 85, of East Templeton, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, in Health Alliance Leominster Hospital surrounded by her family following a brief illness.

Born in Gardner on June 1, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Gilman) Fuller.

Pearl graduated from Gardner High School in 1941. She was a member of the Gardner Golden Agers and the Templeton Council on Aging.

Pearl loved playing golf and had a hole-in-one to her credit. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Pearl volunteered for many years at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary's weekly bingo. Her additional hobbies were knitting hats and braiding rugs. Pearl also enjoyed spending time at Foxwoods Casino.

Pearl was predeceased by her husband, Allan Johnson, who died in 1987. She leaves one son, Allan M. Johnson, and his wife, Karen, of Baldwinville; one daughter, Linda J. Cahoon, and her husband, Dennis, of Marstons Mills; one grandson, Benjamin A. Pierce, and his wife, Tara, of Bridgewater, N.H.; one great-granddaughter, Riley Pierce of Bridgewater, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers, Arthur, George, Dana, Donald and Alvin Fuller, and by one sister, Hazel LaFlamme.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 17, at 1 p.m. in the Boucher Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial will be in Pinegrove Cemetery, Templeton.

Calling hours in the funeral home will be Friday, Oct. 17, from 12 to 1 p.m.
