BOSTON — Andrea Tina Healy of Boston and Cape Cod, passed away suddenly on Oct. 19, 2008.

Born in Hyannis on June 11, 1970, she graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, Class of 1988 and from UMass at Amherst, Class of 1992. She was a proud member of the marching bands in both high school and college.

Andrea's entire career was joyously dedicated to community and professional theatre. She grew up in the Harwich Junior Theater, taking classes and acting in plays. As an adult Andrea returned to HJT, serving as business manager, stage manager and drama teacher. She was also a valued core member of the Wheelock Family Theatre teaching faculty. At these theaters, she touched the hearts and minds of many young people.

Ms. Healy was a member of Actors' Equity Association and was involved with the Boston theatre community, working primarily as stage manager for area theaters, including SpeakEasy Stage Company, Boston Playwrights' Theatre and New Repertory Theater. She also contributed at Gloucester Stage Company and Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre.

She was the beloved daughter of Bernice F. Healy of South Yarmouth and Robert L. Healy of South Dennis; sister to Christopher Healy of Norwich, Vt., Michael Healy of Kingston, and Timothy Healy of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister-in-law to Cassandra Healy and Kay Healy; aunt to Sarah, Kyle, Dan and "auntie" to the twins, Morgan and Cole. She was also survived by many close cousins and aunts and numerous friends, including Jonathan McGowan, Leigh Barrett, Rhonda Dwyer and Nicole Ruttan.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Morris & O'Connor Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth, Mass. A funeral Mass will be at St. Pius X Church, Station Avenue, South Yarmouth, on Saturday at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Chandler Grey Cemetery, West Yarmouth.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Andrea's memory be made to the HJT Education Fund, P.O. Box 168, West Harwich, MA 02671.

Music, when soft voices die

Music, when soft voices die,
Vibrates in the memory—
Odours, when sweet violets sicken,
Live within the sense they quicken.

Rose leaves, when the rose is dead,
Are heaped for the beloved's bed;
And so thy thoughts, when thou art gone,
Love itself shall slumber on.

Dear Healy Family,
I am so shocked and saddened to hear of your loss. Andrea was always so friendly, helpful, and supportive during my shows on the Cape, especially at HJT. The theatre community, and everyone that knew Andrea, has lost one of the great ones. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry to hear the sad news about dear Andrea. I hadn't talked to her in years and then recently we reconnected on Facebook and it was so nice to hear that she was still so actively involved with theater. I had just shown my kids the video of "Annie Get Your Gun" which Andrea and I were in together at DY and that I have such fond memories of. She was such a sweet person and will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of Andrea's family and friends.

I grew up knowing Andrea Throughout Elementary School, Middle School and Highschool. She was an outstanding person with a heart of gold. I graduated from D-Y with her in the class of "88" and shared many moments on the competition field with her in The D-Y band. My Condolences go out to her Family in this time of need.

Bernice, Tim & family- Andrea touched our family in many ways. It's just not possible for me to wrap my head around the idea that she is no longer with us, no longer at the Theatre. What a joy she was...always had a smile and the love she had for the stage (on and behind) was always evident.

Our heartfelt sympathy, love and prayers are with you all at this sad time. We had the chance to meet Andrea only briefly at HJT. She always had a beautiful smile on her face whenever we saw her. Her loss will be deeply felt by all. God bless you at this diffucult time.

Dear Bernice, Tim and Family- I was so incredibly shocked and saddened at this news. Andrea was truly a shining star in my life and the lives of my children. Andrea is the person who encouraged me to get up the nerve to do my first audition in 1999 (and enabled me to do so by offering to watch Jordan, who was 3 years old and napping in the car parked in the HJT driveway at the time, while I waited for Miranda and Ethan to audition). I was cast (my children weren't!) and it was the beginning of my involvement in theater that has meant so much to me personally.

I have a feeling every single person who Andrea worked with at HJT (and the other theaters she's been involved with) has the same kind of story. What Andrea gave to us all can never be measured or adequately articulated.

You are in my thoughts and prayers,
Much love,
Susan

My most heartfelt condolences to Andrea's family. I was deeply saddened by the news of her loss, and am sorry I cannot be on the Cape for the services.
Andrea was a wonderful, warm and caring person, and I felt very close to her in some of my most formative years. From the age of 9-17 Andrea was a fixture at my second home of the HJT and I can't count the number of times she supported me or let me cry on her shoulder.
I hope it brings you some solace to know that she touched the lives of many of us HJT kids and we have been sharing our memories of her with each other, to help us cope and to ensure that she will live on in our hearts.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Andrea was one of those joyously, beautiful persons who grace this life with their dedication, outreach to others and passion for what they love and their willingness to share with others.
I feel most fortunate to have known Andrea and worked with her in connection with the HJT.

I was in Miss Cornog's first grade class with Andrea and have vivid memories of her coming to my 6th birthday party. It has been a while since I have seen her but all of the time, effort, and love she gave to HJT will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. She is an unforgettable spirit.

Celebrating a life well lived. Andrea was kind, helpful and a lovely person. My son acted in many HJT productions, and she was an inspiration. She always welcomed me, and helped me know what to expect. We are saddened to learn of her loss. Our deepest condolences to her family and friends.

Dear Bernice, Tim and Family,

Our hearts are broken by Andrea's passing...she was God's gift to all of us and one of the true reasons the Pagliaro's kept coming back year after year to the HJT...I believe Frankie's love of the stage was when he first had Andrea as a teacher in class at 4 or 5 years old....He loved her so much...and as he grew to be a young man his appreciation for her grew...it was always a big deal if Andrea came down from Boston and was at a show..everyone had to see her and there were hugs for all...she loved her kids, even when they weren't little kids anymore.. We will miss her immensely, but her spirit and her kindness and her knowledge of theatre will remain in our hearts forever..she was truly one of a kind and we were blessed and honored to know her and call her our friend...
Our love and sympathy to all your family during this difficult time...
God Bless
Ellen, Tony, Frankie and TJ Pagliaro
