HYANNIS — Alice S. (Staffen) Niedzwecki, 95, of Hyannis died on Dec. 3, 2008, at Cape Regency in Centerville. She is survived by her son, John, and his wife, Mary, of College Station, Texas, and her sister, Eugenia Laramie of Sterling, Va.

She leaves four grandchildren, Christian, Justin, Karl and Alicia, as well as four great-grandchildren, J.D., Allen, Lindy and Hailey.

Born in New Bedford, she was a graduate of Barnstable High School and Colby College in Maine.

She worked in accounts receivable for AT&T for many years in Hyannis, from which she retired. Services and burial will be at a later date.

Dear John;Your mother was one of my greatest supporters.I keep thinking of when you were born,and how happy we were for you and your mother. I will miss her but want you to know you and your family gave her great joy.We are all proud of you and she played a big part in it for her support of you.
