EAST DENNIS — Dorothy Marie "Dollie" (Farrell) Shea, age 82, of East Dennis, died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at her daughter's home in Framingham.

She was the wife of the late John T. Shea Jr., who died in 1999.

Born in Allston, she was the daughter of the late Paul V. and Alice (Lindauer) Farrell.

Mrs. Shea was a graduate of Boston Girls Latin School and Brighton High School. She worked at the Harvard Faculty Club for 25 years before retiring to Cape Cod in 1985.

She was in the choir for many years at Our Lady of the Cape Church in Brewster, and was a volunteer at Our Lady of the Cape Thrift Shop.

Mrs. Shea is survived by her children, Elizabeth A. Mingolelli and her husband, Michael, of Framingham, and John T. Shea III and his wife, Cynthia, of Medway, as well as her six grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Marc Mingolelli, Laurie Edwards, and John T. IV, Jennifer and Joseph Shea, and her three great-granddaughters. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia Sapienza, and her niece, Alice Sapienza. She was the sister of the late Paul V. Farrell and Lawrence Farrell.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Monday, Oct. 15, at 8 a.m., from the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St., corner of Union Avenue, Framingham, followed by her funeral Mass at 9 a.m., in St. Bridget's Church, Route 9, at Framingham Center. A graveside ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. at Quivet Neck Cemetery, East Dennis. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held on Sunday, from 2 to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Our Lady of the Cape Thrift Shop, c/o Our Lady of the Cape Church, P.O. Box 1799, Brewster, MA 02631.
