Eleanor Henshaw Obituary
She was born April 15, 1921, to the late Irvin and Ruth Bradley Henshaw. Eleanor's twin sister, Ruth, died shortly after birth. Eleanor's older sister, the late Pearl Bradley Henshaw, with whom she made her home, passed away on July 1, 2004.
Eleanor grew up in Newport, R.I., and graduated from the Perkins School for Exceptional Children. After summering on Cape Cod for many years, the family moved here and made this their permanent home. Eleanor and Pearl were very close. They loved their church and dining out with their many friends and family.
Eleanor leaves two cousins, Marcia Root of Buzzards Bay and Barbara Reckard of Concord, N.H.; several extended family; and her close friends and caregivers, Richard and Jo-Ann Jensen.
Visitation is from 10 a.m., until time of services at noon, Saturday, at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. Burial will follow in Henshaw Cemetery in Bourne.
Gifts in Eleanor's memory may be made to Bourne United Methodist Church, PO Box 3037, Bourne, MA 02532.
