Robert Stevenson Obituary

Robert Stevenson Jr.
INDIAN TRAIL -- Mr. Stevenson, 69, passed away on March 23, 2009.
Robert was born in York County on June 1, 1939, the only child of the late Irene and Robert Stevenson, Sr in San Diego, CA. Mr. Stevenson grew up in San Diego, CA and later returned to North Carolina. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda Stevenson and son, Rob Stevenson.
He was a talented civil engineer and spent his career designing premier golf courses and housing tracks. He was a VP at 18 Construction in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and and Senior Engineer for Arvida Corp in Hilton Head, SC. His favorite pastimes included traveling the world and golfing.
He is survived by his daughters, Sonya Jacobs and her husband Dr. Phillip Jacobs of Rock Hill, SC and Dana Stevenson and her wife Jennifer Schmich of San Franciso, CA: and granddaughter, Kelly Roten; and other friends and relatives.
Mr. Stevenson's wishes were that there would be no services.
Heritage Funeral Home, Indian Trail Chapel is assisting the family.
