Marcus Davis Obituary
MOUNT HOLLY -- Mr. Davis, 35, of 105 Crestoak Lane, Mount Holly, NC was born August 29, 1973 in Gastonia, NC and departed this life Monday, March 23, 2009. He was the only son of Fred and Jennifer Pharr Davis and the husband of Liteca Devae McDowell Davis.
Sean was a graduate of Appalachian State University and employed by Target Inc. He was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.
He is survived by his wife, Liteca Davis; daughter, Dana McDowell; son, Matthew LaSean Davis; parents, Fred and Jennifer Pharr Davis of Gastonia, NC; and sister, Monica (Maurice, Sr.) Davis Smith, of Gastonia, NC.
Services will be held Saturday, March 28, at 3:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 911 North Highland Avenue, Gastonia, NC. Family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and other times at the home of his parents, Fred and Jennifer Davis, 1104 Colony Court, Gastonia, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 1325 Linwood Road, Gastonia, NC 28052.
Costner Funeral Home, Gastonia, NC is in charge.

Jennifer and family,
I worked with Sean at Food Lion in Salisbury a few years ago. Even though he didn't work there long, he left a lot of wonderful memories. I don't think he ever met a stranger. He always had an encouraging word for everyone that crossed his path. There are no words I can say to make this any easier, but please know that his Food Lion Family is praying for you all. He will forever be in the hearts of everyone that has known him. May God continue to comfort and guide you through this dark moment in your life.

I never would have expect for Sean to go so early. He had some much more to give to the world and he will truely be missed. His spirit is still with us and we shall carry it on. He was a great boss, friend, big brother, just great all around. He turely had a pure heart and cared about people, especially the younger genertation. Well I don't no where to start...Sean was such a joy in my life. He alway's had a smile on his face even through the hard times. When I see him with his children it made me really happy because he was a father that I wish I had. When we use to come over with Sean's and Teca's he use to check our myspace's and tell us what we couldn't put on it. I really appreciated everything ...through all this it gave me purpose in my life. It made me realize that people go through things in life and sometimes you will never know. Words can not express the sorrow one feels at a time like this nor can they ease the pain for those Sean left behind. I graduated with Sean from Ashbrook. I would see him often in Target and we would talk about people he would run into from school. I will miss that. Going into Target now will never be the same.
