Ms. Ruth was such a special lady. I met Ms. Ruth when my mother, Bea Griffith, moved to her apartment at the Lutheran Home across the hall from Ms. Ruth several years ago. She and my Mom became sweet friends. I so enjoyed speaking with her when I would visit my Mom. My mother died 4 1/2 yrs ago but I thought of Ms. Ruth often. I regret that I didn't visit her as often as I thought of her. She had such a loving, sweet spirit. I know she will be greatly missed. Your family is in my prayers. God bless you.

Ruth was a beautiful women inside and out. I worked with her for a short while in Purchasing at Cannon Mills. Her smile and her attitude were a blessing to the whole department. I was able to visit with her in December and found it hard to leave because we had such a great time talking and laughing. I know her family will miss her but you can be assured she is at peace. God Bless you all.

My dearest Ruth,

I am so glad I visited with you last week and told you how much you had meant to me and how your positive outlook on life impressed and influenced me and helped bring me out of a long depression. I still have a blouse that you loaned me, but I knew you didn't want it back. I'll make sure I wear it again, and think of you with love when I do. Heaven is more beautiful with you there.

Love you,

To Ruth's family - Ruth was my "Mom" at work and I called her "Momma Ruth". She mentored me 36 years ago, when I was only 19 years old, in the Purchasing Department of Cannon Mills. She and Ivey were like parents to me and only recently, this past January I enjoyed spending a Saturday with her. She will always have a special place in my heart and I am rejoicing that she is resting peacefully and enjoying finally being in her forever Home with God! Love to all,

There truly are no words to describe the beauty, both inside and out, of this sweet lady. I've never met a more optimistic person or a person who never had a harsh word to say about anyone or anything. I feel I was blessed to know her. Heaven certainly has a brand new sweet angel! I will not soon forget that beautiful smile!
