I really appreciate the kind words about my uncle "Fr. Jim". He is missed but we are comforted by kind words and memories of his life. He really gave his all for others and was able to be with people in their present moment. He loved the poor, elderly, and those who seemed to be challenged by life daily. He is now a great intercessor for our prayers. If you have a hopeless cause then give it to "Brick" so he can stay busy in heaven. He always loved a good challenge. Carpe diem!

Deep sympathy to Fr. Brichetto's family, but we are sure he is with God and the angels.
Fr. Brichetto attended grade school with me, James J. Brady. He was a good friend, and I will always remember him with great joy.
I really would like to send a card to his sister,Sylvia Davis, but do not know where to contact her. Hopefully she will see this and try to contact me via email.

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Father Jim. He was a great friend to our family, while he served at St. Francis Xavier Church in Cincinnati in the 1970's and 80's. He baptised two of our three children. We had some great times together. Father Jim was a very good priest and friend. May God welcome him to heaven.

With most sincere regrets to Jim's relatives but hardiest congratulations to Father Jim's welcome into heaven I have the foundest memories of him at a special time in my life. I was a student in his latin class at St. Ignatius in Chicago and remember him as a very likable, fair and dedicated servent of God and mankind. Thanks be to God for loaning Jim to us.

On behalf of the Chicago Province Jesuits Development Office and Staff, I wish to express sincere condolences to the family and friends of Fr. James Brichetto, SJ. Jim will certainly be remembered for his terrific work in parish ministry and his love and appreciation for all. Many continue to talk about the St. Xavier Parish trips he coordinated. He was an outstanding man who was asked to “go forth and serve,” doing all that he was asked to do and more. Fr. Jim will be missed.
