The commercial Appeal and commercialappeal.com publish a three line obituary at no cost, as courtesy to families throughout our entire circulation area who have lost a loved one. Additional details may be included on a cost-per-line basis. This allows families to personalize information.
Obituaries of your family member (loved one) may be published in The Commercial Appeal. We accept obituaries from licensed funeral homes. Payments for may be made by credit card or billed to local funeral homes (with established credit). Family members not using the services of a funeral home must provide proof of death through a crematorium or medical research facility. Deadlines for obituaries are 4:00 pm for next day publication. The Commercial Appeal must confirm all copy/cost via fax, so please allow a minimum two hours prior to deadline for copy submission.
