Rebecca Tenney Agnew
REBECCA TENNEY AGNEW - Devoted wife of the late Donald Agnew, born in 1910 and died on March 18, 2005 at Martin Memorial Hospital in Steward, Florida. Mrs. Agnew was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harral S. Tenney, residents of Greenwich for over fifty years and active in community and philanthropic affairs. Mrs. Agnew leaves a sister, Mrs. Clifford Sutter of Osterville, Massachusetts and a brother, C. Thomas Tenney of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Another brother, Harral Straat Tenney predeceased her. She was a devoted aunt to a multitude of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Agnew was a resident of Hobe Sound for 40 years and a former resident of Locust Valley, New York and New York City. Mrs. Agnew attended Rosemary Hall and Smith College. She was active in community affairs in New York city. Her first husband was Francis X Shields (deceased).
