Kenneth Dean "Papa" Hill

Ret. USAF Maj. Kenneth "Papa" Dean Hill Dec. 2, 1946 - June 16, 2007 Resident of Pleasanton Kenneth Hill, 60, native of Butler, PA, went to be with Jesus, who was waiting with open arms, on June 16, 2007. He and his beloved wife, Sandy raised their children and made their home here in Pleasanton for the past 23 years. Ken and Sandy own the Lighthouse Christian Supply store in Dublin where they have been dedicated to the community for the past 18 years. He has touched many hearts over the years and it is a comfort to know he is by Jesus' side this day. Ken was a man who walked with God and left behind a great legacy and example for those who knew him. Ken received his Bachelor's Degree from Marshall University, and his Master's from USC. He served his country proudly by devoting 20 years as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Vietnam and retiring as Major in 1988. We will miss you, his bride of 39 years, Sandy Hill; three cherished sons, Brian Hill of Tracy, Rich Hill of Livermore, and Darren Hill of Livermore; daughter-in-law, Monica Hill of Tracy; mother, Ruth Moniot of Ashville, NY; brother, Rodger Hill of Larkspur, CO; and two adored grandchildren, Kailyn Ann, and Parker Dean. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE: Monday, June 25, 2007, 7 p.m. at the Valley Community Church, 4455 Del Valle Parkway, Pleasanton, CA 94566, (925) 846-6622.
