It was great to meet you one or two times, Carl. And, of course, your wonderful mother was a warm and wise influence on my mother and me. I was happy that I got our mothers together a year or two before they passed. We talked about you and your spirit on that lovely occasion. RIP.

Carl, I wish that I could have met you. I'll miss your valuable information on Datsun 240Zs and the fact you were always willing to jump in to a good debate on a wide range of subjects. I'll also miss sharing a good laugh via e-mail on matters political. My deepest sympathies to all your family and friends. Gary

My sympathy to Carl's family. I never had the opportunity of meeting Carl personally, but I thought many times of driving down to visit and share a meal. Carl was very helpful to me both directly by discussing cars and how-to's and indirectly with his know how and expertise. Carl will be missed! Rest in peace my friend, you are a good man!

I was never fortunate enough to meet Carl face-to-face, but had the pleasure of his company online with the Datsun 240z list. Great guy, will really miss his knowledge and sense of humor. My sympathies the family, I'm sure he'll be greatly missed.

With Carl, he never hid what he thought, so you always knew where you stood. Diplomacy was not his strong suit, but honesty was. He took friendship as a great reponsability, and had great fun with it until seriousness needed to be had. It takes a strong man to say what he feels and still be supportive when his feelings are in opposition to that action. I didn't know Carl as long as I would have liked, but I am thankful that my life was graced with his. I met Carl through a Classic Z car club, one of his real passions.

Carl, will miss you something fierce. friends since '95, we made the blackhawk show with Skylyn. he was hoping to get you to go with us to the kit car show in sept. drive his baja bug. should i spill the beans, let your brothers know how proud you are of them, that your sister drives you nuts, but she has the biggest heart of anyone you know. that you wanted to thank your mom for being the best in the world to you ? maybe i should. miss you my friend, in my thoughts, in my heart as a good friend always is.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Carl face-to-face but feel like I lost a friend. Carl was a valued member of the Datsun 240z email list, his depth of knowledge and more importantly, his sense of humor will be greatly missed.

I was a friend of Carl's through his interest in Datsun Z cars. Carl was a great friend to me when my Dad died last year. I am devastated to hear Carl has died. I will miss his sense of humor most of all.

My sincere condolences to the family.
