Alden gave me my big break in my career in 1978. I was a cameraman at KSL but enjoyed writing. I wrote some scripts for Alden and shortly after he offered me a job as a writer/producer at KSL. I've been fortunate to continue in this field since then but have always remembered the kindness and confidence shown to me by Alden and the difference he made in my life. Although I haven't seen him in many years, I will miss him.

We have been friends for a long time and have come to love you and Alden. May you know of many who love you and pray for your peace at this time and in the weeks, months and years to come. You are a cherished friend. May you find peace and comfort in your loving memories of Alden. We have great memories as we have laughed together, as we have shared lifes experiences, and the lives of our children as they have grown-up.
Love You Forever,
Lynn and Linda

Buddy and Cindy and family,

I also just lost my father on Friday evening. His obituary was in the Sunday paper as well. Britt and I have always looked up to you since you were our Bishop. Your father must have been a great man. God bless you and your family.

aloha,
alden was like a father to me...he co-signed on my first new car, he escorted me through the temple when i got married, and he incouraged my career in video production...
we loved to play golf together, which added to our admiration for each other...he introduced me to his father (which i still tell stories to this day)...and was always very understanding with me no matter the circumstances...
a fine man, in all aspects, a funky little horn player, and one of the finest people i ever met in my life...
much mahalo to the richards family, and my heart goes out to all of you at this time....

Alden was the first producer I worked with when I started my career in television 38 years ago. Always a pleasure to work with, he was very dedicated to his profession.
