So sweetie D today your ashes get interned with a full military service and I am so proud for you as I know how very much that would mean too you. Tomorrow it will be exactly 1 month since we spoke and shared our final kiss. I have missed you every second of every day. There is just so much I want to tell you and things I want to share with you. I do remind myself of how very blessed I am to be loved by you and no matter if its 1 day or 20 yrs or more till we get to be together again there will not be one single day between now and then that I wont be loved by you. I love you with my whole heart D you are my best friend and the keeper of my heart.

Carolyn, Mike and my hearts go out to you. Your relationship with DC was so inspirational and heartwarming. I could see the love you two felt for each other. Just know that love transends time and he took that love for you and your love for him with him on his journey to Heaven. I pray that our Father will give you solice and peace during this time. We love you and hope to see you again in the future. You are always welcome here and are in our hearts always.

Rick and I knew Donn (or "D.C." as we called him) for many years. The mold was broken after D.C. as he sure was one of a kind! With a heart the size of Texas and his cute "crunchy antics", D.C. always knew ways to lift the spirits of anybody blessed to have known him. Your darling Carolyn; the love of your life, remains here D.C. to carry on your sweet legacy and to share with all of her wonderful friends and family the beautiful memories you made with her. You will be dearly missed, D.C. Our brother in life and in death.

I only knew Donn through photos and recitals from Carolyn, and my heart bleeds for the pain that she's feeling at his loss. Seems he was taken from everyone way too early.
May he rest in peace.

What can I say? Anyone who knew D.C. well , knew that he had a mind of his own, and could sometimes affectionaly be called " Stubborn".He lived life on his own terms , and when the party was over and the time to go home at hand , he graciously took his leave. This was his manner in life as well as death. To say he left an impact on those who knew him would be a gross understatement. Carolyn I am deeply sorry for your loss. I know that one day you will meet your love again. As for Don's family , I offer my condolences. May God watch over you all.

Out deepest sympathy to our daughter Carolyn on the loss of her beloved "Sweety D". Our sympathy also to Donn's family.
God looked around his garden And He found an empty place. And then He looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face. He put His arms around you, And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered"Peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you. But you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God called you home.

I never met or even talked to Donn, but as everyone else in the GT I felt like I did. He and Carolyn loved each other very much and it shines through every word she wrote about him and every layout she created.
Death is nothing at all.

I have only slipped away into the next room.

I never knew you Donn, but felt like I did, through Caro, and the way she shared with her on line friends the love she had for you, and you for her. Heck we would get as excited as she did when you two were about to meet IRL. You were a special person Donn, look how many lives you have touched. God bless you and keep you Donn, and may He comfort Caro and all those you have left behind.

There's a very special person to me, a very special person to Donn, whose name I cannot see above. A beautiful lady with a heart as big as the sun, who shared it with one man, thousands of miles away. A connection so strong, not even a world could come between and suddenly they're worlds apart. My heart is with Carolyn's as we overcome the loss of her love, her partner and soul mate.
And to Donn, may your music play louder than ever,
your song will never be forgotten.

Though I've never met or spoken to Donn, I felt as if I knew him well through Carolyn. Their relationship outshined any fairytale romance. Their adventures could leave people from all over the world laughing until they were breathless or crying from the sheer force of the love and adoration that emanated from them. Their love for each other is truly a powerful thing. Thank you, Donn, for being the light in Carolyn's eyes and life. I wish you Godspeed, and know that you will both be together again....someday.

Togetherness
Death is nothing at all - I have only slipped away into the next room. Whatever we were to each, that we are still. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which You always used. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be the household word that it always was.Let it be spoken without effort. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was there is absolutely unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of Your mind because I am out of Your sight? I am but waiting for You, for an interval, somewhere very near just around the corner. All is well. Nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before - only better, infinitely happier and forever - we will all be one together with Christ.

When the ties of friendship and comraderie are severed abruptly, faith and strength lighten the load of our pain. Grief can be the greatest of teachers, allowing us to have more compassion for our fellow man. Death rekindles in us the very essence and importance of life sometimes left behind in our youth.
We were lucky to have had Don touch us and be part of our lives. His humour and compassion remain now as we bow our heads in sorrow. He will remain with us for many years to come in our thoughts and words. May Gob be with his soul.

Donn "Goose" Sartain,
I will miss you more then you can know. You were a great friend in the years i knew you. Unfortunately i was never able to meet you in person, only through Frugalsworld, and through all the online gaming, and MSN chats we had those years.
You were one of the few people who always told me with all the medical problems i have, "keep your chin up, keep fighting, just know I'm here for you". Your thoughts and advice always helped, and made me feel better. You meant sooo much to many of us at Frugalsworld. This world and Frugalsworld is less of a place without you in it. You brought so much happiness and laughter to others.
I see on the other side Donn, I miss you and will cherish all the fun, the laughter, and all the great memories we had.
To Carol, we all know how much he loved you, he always talked about you, and looked forward to every single day you were here in the US. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers in this difficult time go out to you.
