As a young officer I worked with Jake in the City Jail. Many times work at night in a jail consists of early work followed by many long conversations about everything in life. I learned a lot from Jake, from how to take things in stride to hitting a soft draw. Jake was a fine man who taught by example and never looked to tell people they were wrong. I wish my sons had known him. The world is too short on role models and he was a good one.

Jake was the true defination of a gentleman. He was always calm and level headed. I enjoyed working with and playing golf with Jake. He will be truly missed. May God bless your family and comfort you.
