Otto Barrera

Otto Barrera of Hanover Park Funeral services for Otto Barrera, 40, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 1550 Haas Road, Hillside, where he will lie in state from 8 a.m. until the time of services. Born Nov. 11, 1962, in Guatemala, he died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, in Carthage, Ill. Burial will be in Glen Oak Cemetery. Mr. Barrera worked as a truck driver for Great Lakes Milk Products of Melrose Park. He was the husband of Apolonia (nee Galindo); father of Brandon S., Diego A. and Tamara C.; son of Hector Sr. and Ofelia (nee Caceres); brother of Hector Jr. (Ligia) Barrera, Henry (Lorena) Barrera, Nenfy (Susana) Barrera, Patricia (Marco) Martinez, Johana (Sergio) Navas and Ana Barrera; and uncle of several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 485 S. Bartlett Road, Streamwood.
