Ritamarie Mahan Obituary

NORWOOD Ritamarie C. (O'Leary) Mahan, 74, died Monday, July 7, 2008, at Caritas Norwood Hospital. Formerly of Dedham, she had lived in Norwood for 50 years and was a housewife. She was the wife of the late John F. Mahan. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Thomas O'Leary and Ann McCarthy. She graduated from Dedham High School in 1952, and was a member of the SPCC, Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children. She leaves three sons, Thomas F. Mahan and his wife, Ann Marie, of Mansfield, Brian S. Mahan and his wife, Mary Jo, of Ashland, and Kevin M. Mahan and his wife, Rose Ellen, of Haverhill; three daughters, Lauren E. DiCalogero and her husband, Joseph, of Walpole, Colleen M. Sifferlen and her husband, Stephen, of Walpole, and Allison J. Manis and her husband, Gregg, of Franklin; a brother, David O'Leary of Foxborough; a sister, Ann Hayes of Holliston; and 18 grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Patricia Semprucci and Eileen Peters. Visiting hours are Thursday, July 10, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home, 1248 Washington St., Norwood. A funeral Mass will take place Friday, July 11, at 9 a.m., at St. Catherine Church in Norwood. Burial will follow in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
